The Montanan is a classic custom.  Currently, we use M1999 and CZ actions to build a reliable, accurate big game or varmint rifle.  Actions can be refined by polishing and smoothing or left as is from the factory.  Barrels are by Montana Rifleman unless another maker is specified.  Beyond this, almost anything goes.  Choose a caliber, a cartridge, a wildcat, a traditional chambering.  If it can be safely done, we'll do it.  Many options are listed on the Montanan pricing page.  Some sample rifles are portrayed in the gallery below.

We test fire our rifles using factory ammunition with the expectation they will shoot 1 MOA or better.  If they don't we find out why and rectify the problem.  Test targets are shipped with the rifle.  For wildcats, we can offer a load development service that will provide a safe starting point for your new rifle.  Call to discuss.  As with the Serengeti line, Montanans are available in all of our geometries as well as derivatives of factory and custom designs.  Also available in a Mannlicher-style stock.
